Competition rules:

  • At least 80% of your AMV must be anime or anime-based.
  • Content: No 18+ material
  • Time: Max. 3 minutes (180 seconds)
  • Container: AVI, MPEG, MPG, MKV
  • Codec: Mpeg2, XViD, DivX, H264
  • Aspect ratio: 4:3 of 16:9
  • Resolution: 640×480 (min)
  • Size: Max. 400MB
  • The AMV becomes property of YaYCon
  • The AMV may not be published before the competition
  • No studio bumpers or video credits
  • No AMVs that have already been shown
